We ended the year with our annual tradition of graduation and passing of the classes! The end-of-year Chess Tournament brought together members of both our Beginner and Advanced Chess Clubs for an exciting afternoon of strategy, focus, and friendly competition! The 4th through 8th graders all competed in the Ohio Mathematics League competition at Ridgewood! The contest is sponsored by the Ohio Mathematics League and is an annual competition that encourages strength in mathematics including creative problem solving and numerical reasoning. Congratulations to all the students who placed!

What an unforgettable experience for our 8th graders as they explored the history, government, and culture of our nation's capital! Students kicked off the trip by exploring the Smithsonian's Air & Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History, and National Museum of American History. Congratulations to Matthew Dean who won this year's Ridgewood Geography Bee! The students answered questions on a variety of topics including capitals, landmarks, and other physical features.

Ridgewood inducted its 4th class of the National Junior Honor Society! These students were selected for membership based on their commitment to service, leadership, citizenship, scholarship, and character. We can’t wait to see how they will continue to impact our school community!

Ridgewood parents had a meaningful and inspiring Parent Book Club discussion on the book, "The Anxious Generation!" They dove into some of the book’s key recommendations for supporting healthier childhood development in today’s digital world- like waiting until at least age 14 to give kids smartphones, holding off on social media until 16, encouraging phone-free schools, and helping kids build independence through real-world responsibility, free play, and face-to-face connect

Mayor Rob Rue (Ridgewood Class of 1984) visited the school, ate lunch with our students, and read a book to the first grade class about what it means to be a strong leader. The first graders have been learning about citizenship, and LOVED having a chance to hear from “someone famous” as their mystery reader. After shaking the mayor's hand, some earnestly vowed they would never wash their hands again!

Coach Jeff accompanied Carter at the Scholastic Classic Chess Tournament in Fairborn, where Carter took 4th place in the non-rated in multi-age group! Congratulations!

Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Clark County Library Spooky Stories contest from Ridgewood! Our 3 winners are Devyn Cardinal (8th), Matthew Comer (7th), and Devyn Crawford (7th).

We celebrated our annual Multicultural Night with projects, crafts, songs, and dances from Switzerland, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Ghana, USA, France, Japan, Mexico, and Italy! In addition, we had a wonderful potluck dinner which included delicious types of food from around the world! Thank you to everyone who made the evening possible and to all those who brought in dishes to share!
