Teacher Award
Ridgewood School Association Distinguished Teacher Award
Created in 2025 by the Ridgewood School Association Board of Trustees, the Distinguished Teacher Award may be awarded annually to one current or former teacher based on the following criteria:
- guides students of all backgrounds and abilities to achieve excellence.
- creates a classroom culture in which students feel invested, empowered, connected, and celebrated.
- collaborates with colleagues, students, and families to create a school culture of respect and success.
- demonstrates leadership and innovation in and outside of the classroom that embodies lifelong learning.
- embodies the values and mission of Ridgewood School.
These qualities must be clearly demonstrated by the teacher over her/his tenure at Ridgewood School. Evidence of the selected teacher's capabilities includes positive comments from students, alumni, parents, other teachers, and head of school.
