WEEK 1: JUNE 17-21

9:00-10:30am	Let’s Get Moving	Gail Suzel	We will explore many types of movement through different genres of music. This will include ballet warm-up exercises, folk dances from different countries, basic tumbling, beginning tap steps, and animal yoga. Students will have the opportunity to improvise dance movement with ribbons, scarves, and balloons. We will work on flexibility, balance, and creative expression. Let's get moving! (Class fee of $65.)
10:30-Noon	Oh, The Places We’ll Go!	Beth Dixon	Dr. Seuss’s imaginative stories make reading and learning fun! They also spark opportunities to learn about conservation, kindness, greed, perseverance, and self-discovery. This class will help young learners explore Dr. Seuss’s world and their own. (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Nature’s Explorer Camp	Isaiah Averhart	Students will discover the outdoors through hands-on fun! Activities include bug collecting and identification with magnifying glasses, plant scavenger hunts, nature walks, fairy house building, and creative outdoor obstacle courses. Perfect for curious kids who love exploring and staying active. (Class fee of $65.)
2:00-3:30pm	Artistic Architects	Isaiah Averhart	Little builders will explore the world of art and design in this hands-on, imagination-filled class! Students will create colorful structures using blocks, recycled materials, clay, and craft supplies while learning basic concepts like shapes, balance, patterns, and teamwork. (Class fee of $65.)

We will use playground balls, parachutes, instruments, bands, bubbles, and more! We will mix them all with music into one great big marvelous, musical time! (Class fee of $65.)
10:30-Noon	Community Helpers	Jen Groth	We will spend our week learning about and pretending to be police officers, doctors, chefs, firefighters, vets, mail carriers, and other community helpers. We will build social skills, curiosity, and creativity through fun activities, stories, songs, and crafts while learning how these helpers support our community. We might even have surprise visitors drop by! (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Science in Motion	Isaiah Averhart	Get ready to roll, race, and explore! In this hands-on class, little learners will experiment with toy cars on ramps to see how fast and how far they can go. They’ll discover the power of wind by making and flying their own simple kites. Outdoor fun includes running races, playing scarf tag to feel the “wind” in action, and even creating a bubbly car wash for toy cars! (Class fee of $65.)
2:00pm-3:30pm	Little Kickers	Maginta Grim	Get ready to kick, run, and score! Athletes will learn basic soccer skills through fun games and playful activities. Students will practice dribbling, kicking, and teamwork while building coordination and confidence. (Class fee of $65.)

10:30-Noon	Racquet Rascals	USTA/SATA	Little learners will have a smashing time! This playful class introduces basic tennis skills through fun games, mini-rallies, and creative activities. Be sure to wear gym shoes/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle! Students will receive a racquet and t-shirt! (Class fee of $75.)
12:30-2:00pm	Little Chef’s Academy	Isaiah Averhart	Little chefs will explore the yummy world of cooking through hands-on fun! Kids will measure ingredients, mix simple recipes, and discover kitchen science. Outdoor activities include setting up a pretend farmers market, delivering “food” to different stations, & a relay. (Class fee of $75.)
2:00-3:30pm	It Starts with a Line!	Kaneisha Phifer	Discover the magic of lines in this creative class! Preschoolers will explore how simple lines can transform into amazing works of art. Through fun, hands-on activities, children will learn to work with lines and see how they can create beautiful, imaginative pieces. (Class fee of $65.)

	Chess Explorers	Jeffrey Brunner	Little thinkers will have fun learning the basics of chess! Students will practice moving pieces, following simple strategies, and playing friendly games. (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Mini Zen Builders	Anna Kiehn	Ridgewood's Zen Garden camp will provide students with an opportunity to participate in the restoration and development of our Outdoor Learning Environments program. Students will have the opportunity to plant, dig, build, and learn about pollinators, native plants, and wildlife, and will also be encouraged to think about how to care for and preserve our natural habitats. (Class fee of $65.)
2:00-3:30pm	Swing into Summer	Springfield Country Club	Get ready to have fun learning golf! You’ll practice making short putts, tiny chip shots, and big drives on the beautiful Springfield Country Club course. This class is perfect for beginners and young golfers who want to learn and play.(Capped at 14. Class runs June 9-12. Class fee of $65.)

10:30am-Noon	I Like to Move It, Move It	Michele Slone	Do you like PE? Do you like music? Then this class is for you! Come mix movement, parachutes, play ground balls, cups, basketballs, jumping, and more, into one great big music celebration! We will keep the beat, experience musical form, perform rhythms and much more by using materials and concepts from the gym! (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Serve & Smash!	USTA/SATA	Get ready to swing, run, and have a blast! Young players will learn the basics of tennis, including serving, hitting, and moving on the court, all through fun games & activities. Be sure to wear gym shoes/tennis shoes & bring a water bottle! 	Little Sprouts Gardening	Kaylee Rutherford	Get ready to dig, plant, and grow! In this hands-on gardening class, our youngest learners will explore the wonders of nature right at their fingertips. Students will discover how seeds sprout, what plants need to grow, and how gardens help people, animals, and our planet. (Class fee of $75)

10:30am-Noon	Español Vibes	Sylvia Phillips	Experience the Spanish language and culture through sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. This class will be full of fun activities such as cooking Hispanic dishes, creating colorful crafts, dancing, and playing games— all in Español! (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Discovering Owls	Claudia Fett	Meet real owls from the Glen Helen Raptor Center! Read and explore lots of wonderful picture books, poetry, and nonfiction books about owls, while creating various forms of artwork about those owls to present and share. (Class fee of $65.)
2:00-3:30pm	Let Your Fingers Do the Talking!	Marianna Stewart	A variety of games and activities will introduce students to American Sign Language (ASL). Participants will learn basic conversation and culture including greeting, ASL alphabet and numbers, animal signs, and more! Cap of 10 students. (Class fee of $65.)
	Bead-a-Palooza!	Kaylee Rutherford	Jewelry making is where creativity sparkles! Kids will create their own wearable treasures while building confidence and coordination. We’ll explore bead stringing, bead making, and friendship bracelet weaving in a fun, supportive environment. (Class fee of $75.)

	Craft & Cut Cricut Studio	Rebecca Jones	Students will design fun 2D images on Cricut Design and bring them to life with the Cricut machine, creating stickers, t-shirts, and more! (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Powerful Pens	Beth Dixon	This class will challenge every student to truly embrace the art of creative expression through writing as a life skill. We’ll work daily to find and develop a creative voice that is uniquely our own. Writing journal provided. (Class fee of $65.)
	Checkmate Champs	Jeffrey Brunner	Sharpen your mind and have fun while learning the game of chess! Students will learn the rules, strategies, and tactics of chess through games & friendly competitions. (Class fee of $65.)

9:00-10:30am	The Yarn Factory	Lori McCartney	Learn how to turn yarn into amazing handmade creations! Students will learn crochet techniques and complete small projects while practicing problem-solving, creativity, and fine motor skills. (Class fee of $65.)
10:30-Noon	Ace Academy	USTA/SATA	Get ready to swing, run, and have a blast! Students will learn the basics of tennis, including serving, hitting, and moving on the court. 12:30-2:00pm	Musical Theatre 101	Beth Dixon & Eric Tyler Barga	This class is about making friends, building confidence as well as learning about the magic of Musical Theatre. The week will culminate in a live performance! (Class fee of $65.)
2:00-3:30pm	Coding with Scratch	Isaiah Averhart	Learn the basics of computer programming using Scratch! Kids will build their own games & create cool animations while learning how to think like a programmer.(Class fee of $65.)

9:00am-3:30pm	Thinking Outside the School	Becky Konecki and Brian McWhorter	Back by popular demand, this class is a special six-and-a-half-hour off-campus session, where students can expand their horizons while experiencing some of the exciting activities our surrounding communities and outdoors have to offer. Past favorite activities have included rock climbing, kayaking, campfire cooking, bowling, skating, and more! (Capped at 15. Because of its daily 6.5 hour class period and class related expenses, the course fee is $300.)

10:30am-Noon	Wilderness Adventure	Isaiah Averhart	Participants will build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while exploring nature and embracing exciting challenges. (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Sewing and Quilting	Jese Shell	In this hands-on sewing class, students will explore the colorful, cozy world of fabric design while learning real sewing skills. Using beginner-friendly Singer sewing machines, we’ll cover the basics: how to safely operate the machine, wind a bobbin, thread the needle, sew straight lines, and use simple stitches to join fabric pieces. Each young designer will create their own unique quilt square, choosing colors, shapes, and layouts that show off their personal style. Join us for a cozy, confidence-building sewing adventure where imagination and fabric come together- one stitch at a time! (Class fee of $75.)

From crafting scripts and storyboards to filming, editing, and producing a short film, participants will learn the full creative process while bringing their ideas to life! (Class fee of $65.)
12:30-2:00pm	Net Masters	USTA/SATA	Get ready to swing, run, and have a blast in Net Masters! Young players will learn the basics of tennis, including serving, hitting, and moving on the court, all through fun games and activities. This class builds coordination, teamwork, and confidence while keeping young athletes active and smiling. Be sure to wear gym shoes/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle! Students will receive a racquet and t-shirt! (Class fee of $75.)
	3D Printing	Rebecca Jones	Students will be using various softwares to slice and 3D print their chosen designs. They will be learning how to apply various features to the print to enhance the quality of the print. (Class fee of $65.)
2:00-3:30pm	Historical D & D	Chris Hazel	Step into the past and bring history to life through tabletop adventure! Students will explore real historical settings while playing a guided Dungeons & Dragons–style role-playing game. Participants will build characters inspired by different time periods, solve challenges, and work as a team while learning about historical events and cultures. (Class fee of $65)

Time: 9-10:30am Session: Under the Sea Instructor: Brandi Ketron Become an oceanographer for a week as we delve into a deep sea adventure. Students will explore the creatures of the deep blue sea. They will create replicas of their finds with various art media. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 9-10:30am Session: We Are Animals! Instructor: Instructor: Kaniesha Phifer Starting the week off with reading about animals, the children will pick their favorite animal to focus on for the week. Each day they will make pieces to create an animal costume and the final day of class will showcase the creations with role play! (Class fee of $65).

Time: 10:30am-Noon Session: Trains, Planes, and Cars Instructor: Brandi Ketron Do you enjoy all things that go? Then this is the class for you! We will spend the week learning about different types of transportation, why they are needed, design and the force of motion. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 10:30am-Noon Session: The Wonderful World of Math and Art Instructor: Instructor: Kaniesha Phifer Students will have the opportunity to use their creativity to make art focused on numerical relationships and color patterns. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 10:30am-Noon Session: Music Here, Music There, Lots of Music Everywhere! Instructor: Michele Slone Come explore with us as we find all of the music created in and by our world! Daily themes include Music of the Ocean (be prepared to get a little wet!), Music of the Animals, Music of our Celebrations (time to party!), Music of the Kitchen, Music of Our World! We will sing, move, create, listen, read, and play as we experience the amazing music all around us! (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 10:30-Noon Session: Magic Tricks Instructor: NexPlore Prepare to be amazed as you delve into the mesmerizing world of magic! Campers will learn the secrets of illusion and sleight of hand as they discover the science and artistry behind classic magic tricks. (Class fee of $75.)

Time: 10:30-Noon Session: The Great Outdoors Instructor: Dave Swingle Students will spend the week learning important outdoor skills that build on one another. From identifying essential items for everyday outdoor activities, to basic first aid, fire safety, and campsite essentials, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of responsible, sustainable, and safe fun in the great outdoors. Time: 10:30-Noon Session: The Wonderful World of Insects Instructor: Rachel McLaughlin Embark on a captivating journey into the world of insects. Through hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and interactive learning, students will delve into insect anatomy, behavior, habitats, and conservation, fostering an appreciation for our fascinating insect friends. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 12:30-2pm Session: Rockets Away Instructor: Bob Cripe Prepare to blast off! Learn to construct your own flying machines and watch them soar. This class is an action-packed adventure in math, engineering, aerospace and physics through the study of rocket science. Learn more about Newton's Laws of Motion to the principles of lift, thrust, drag, and gravity. All of this leads up to the ultimate thrill for each student...building and launching a 2-liter bottle rocket. (Capped at 15, Class fee of $65.)

Time: 2-3:30pm Session: Bridge Building Instructor: Brandi Ketron Using STEM concepts and K'Nex, students will learn about different types of bridges, then design, engineer, and construct an arch bridge and a suspension bridge. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 2-3:30pm Session: Eco Explorers Instructor: Rachel McLaughlin Join us for an immersive journey into environmental conservation! Through hands-on activities, nature exploration, and eco-friendly projects, participants will learn about wildlife conservation, water preservation, and our planet. (Class fee of $65)

Time: 9-10:30am Session: Make Some Noise! Instructor: Michelle Slone Come explore the music all around us! We will look at the music in our city (including a field trip to Kuss Auditorium and the Clark State Performing Arts Center) and make our own instruments! We will look at music as part of our celebrations and celebrate with a glow in the dark dance party. We will explore music of the ocean, rivers, ponds, and make music with water! Through captivating science experiments, students will harness the power of chemical reactions, light, and natural phenomena to craft stunning works of art, blending creativity with scientific exploration with every creation. Time: 10:30-Noon Session: Creating Cool Comics Instructor: Jen Groth We will examine comic books and graphic novels to learn about their sequencing, structure, art styles, and use of monsters, champions, underdogs, and more. Then we will work to create our own comic. Will you be the hero or the villain of your story? (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 12:30-2pm Session: The Great Outdoors Instructor: Dave Swingle Students will spend the week learning important outdoor skills that build on one another. From identifying essential items for everyday outdoor activities, to basic first aid, fire safety, and campsite essentials, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of responsible, sustainable, and safe fun in the great outdoors. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 12:30-2pm Session: Art History Made Fun Instructor: Rachel McLaughlin Students will explore the styles of famous artists and unleash their creativity by crafting their own masterpieces inspired by their iconic works. Students will end the week with several pieces of art to take home, inspired by Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, and Piet Mondrian, among others. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 2-3:30pm Session: Golf Essentials (Tuesday-Friday) Instructor:Jake Houston Fore! Experience the full spectrum of golf! Practice your putts, chisel your chips, iron out your iron play, and develop your driving, all on the beautiful Springfield Country Club Course. This camp is designed for all levels. (Capped at 14 students. Class fee of $65.)

Time: 2-3:30pm Session: Science Camp Instructor: Rachel McLaughlin Join us for an exciting exploration of STEM topics! Each day, students will drive into a different science topic through hands-on stations, fostering curiosity and discovery in a dynamic, interactive learning environment. (Class fee of $65.)

Week of July 8-12

Time: 9-10:30am Session: Spanish Sense Instructor: Sylvia Phillips Experience the Spanish language and culture through sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. This class will be full of fun activities such as cooking Hispanic dishes, creating colorful crafts, dancing, and playing games— all in Español! (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 12:30-2pm Session: Kitchen Academy Instructor: Rich Taste Catering The Kitchen Academy descriptions should be: Each day with Master Chef Gerald Richardson, participants will use their scientific knowledge, math skills, and creativity while experiencing the culinary arts and developing healthy eating and safe cooking habits. (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 2-3:30pm Session: Get Your Pickle On! Instructor: Rachael Detraz Come learn the basics! Rules, strategies, and skill practice. (Class fee of $65 Cap of 12 students.)

Time: 2-3:30pm Session: Beginning Fencing Instructor: Greg and Cheryl Paquette Fencing is the Olympic sport of swordplay that can be enjoyed by people of any age or shape. It offers a multitude of benefits. Fencing is both a physical and a mental workout. As a combat sport, two athletes use swords to attack and defend against one another with the aim of striking their opponent in order to score points. Be curious and see what it is like to fence with a foil! (Class Fee of $75.)

Week of June 17-21

Time: 9-3:30pm Session: Thinking Outside the School Instructor: Becky Konecki and Brian McWhorter By popular demand, we are extending this class to full days this summer! During this special six and a half hour off-campus session, expand your horizons while experiencing some of the exciting activities our local community and outdoors has to offer. Tentative activities include a low ropes course, tower climbing, Springfield history tour, yoga, ice skating, bowling, kayaking, hiking, and campfire cooking! Due to the nature of this program, there is an additional $55 activity fee. (Capped at 15 students. Class fee of $295)

Week of June 24-28

Time: 9-10:30am Session: Archaeology Instructor: Chris Hazel Students will have the opportunity to dig and make archaeological discoveries! (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 10:30-Noon Session: Tennis Time Instructor: Breanna Ball Students will participate in a variety of tennis games, drills, and activities to strengthen their skills and love for the game! Be sure to wear gym shoes/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle! (Class fee of $65.)

Time: 10:30-Noon Session: CSI Crime Lab Instructor: Rachel McLaughlin Students will learn about forensic science techniques, ranging from forensic chemistry, to extracting DNA, and analyzing a crime scene. Students will apply the skills they learn to solve mysteries throughout the week. (Class fee of $65)

Time: 12:30-2:00pm Session: Young Entrepreneurs: How to Build Your Brand and Business From Scratch Instructor: Jess Swingle In our "Young Entrepreneurs" workshop, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of entrepreneurship. This hands-on program is designed to inspire creativity, foster critical thinking, and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit within young minds. Throughout the week, each student will build their own business (real or fictitious) and learn the art and science behind building a brand, crafting offers, mastering pricing, and turning customers into raving fans. (Class fee of $65.)
